Meet Captain Judah Barbee
With a lifetime of fishing experience and a passion for the sea, Captain Judah Barbee leads The Stelluna, Destin’s premier family-owned and operated fishing charter.
The Journey of Captain Judah Barbee
Captain Judah Barbee grew up fishing in the beautiful waters surrounding the Destin Florida area. Raised in a large Christian family, he was one of seven children. He spent hours fishing on the freshwater lake behind their home, along the waters of the local bayous, in the calm waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay, from the docks along the harbor, and of course, Deep Sea Fishing in the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The son of a professional scuba instructor, Judah learned early in life about sea life and being up close and personal with creatures beneath the surface of the water. These experiences cultivated his love for the outdoors and particularly fishing.
Beginning his professional Charter fishing career in 2005, Captain Judah ran bay-side fishing charters and eventually became the First Mate on a Charter Boat known as the Destiny. Later he became the captain of the Charter Boat Destin Princess as well as filling in as a captain on other boats in the harbor earning a reputation as an excellent captain and gaining the respect of charter boat owners along the docks. But his dream has always been to run his own charter boat business. That dream became possible in 2014 when he purchased his own boat.
The Heart Behind Stelluna: A Family Dream
The proud father of two beautiful girls, Stella and Luna, Captain Judah chose to name the boat in honor of them. The charter boat  Stelluna is a dream come true for he and his wife, Kimberly. Their Destin Deep Sea Fishing charter boat is truly family owned and operated giving them incentive to do their best to please all their customers and to have and maintain a great reputation as one of the best Destin Deep Sea Fishing charter fishing businesses in the Destin Harbor.
